The UK presently lies beneath a col. Low pressure west of Ireland will deepen and push frontal systems into the British Isles through the coming weekend.

The Local Area Forecast for Northamptonshire

A rather grey and misty start to the day across the county. As per yesterday we are likely to hold on to the cloud for a good part of the day, although there is every chance of some sunshine breaking through during the late afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be up on yesterday with highs reaching 21C in a very light north or north-westerly breeze. Dry overnight with clear spells at first becoming cloudier later. Lows of 13C.

The Outlook for the next few days

Saturday is likely to be rather cloudy with occasional outbreaks of rain, although some brighter intervals are possible. Warmer with highs reaching 23C. The wind will back to a light south-westerly. Rather more persistent rain is expected through Sunday, perhaps not clearing the county until the late afternoon or evening. Highs of 19C falling overnight to 14C. Rather grey on Monday with the risk of some sharp showers.
